Nature Sounds Stress Relief

Remember how you felt the last time you spent time in nature? 

Were you lying on a beach listening to the ocean, hiking in the woods or just sitting by a lake reading a book? 

Remember that delicious feeling of relaxation, of being at peace with yourself and the world? 

This is what being in nature can do for all of us, it can take away our stress, reduce our anxiety and make us feel like we don’t have a care in the world. 

Our reality doesn’t change when we spend time in nature, but our perception of that reality does

Instead of lurching from crisis to crisis, we slow down. Our minds no longer race with problems and anxieties, our thoughts become calmer, and as they do, we push stress to the back of our minds, leaving it for another day.  That’s the beauty of spending time in nature.

While we can’t always get away to the countryside, we can still make ourselves more aware of the nature that surrounds us; every tree, every cloud, every bird that we see during our day can help make our lives a little brighter. 

And, when that isn’t enough, we can listen to nature sound recordings. 

Spending a few minutes each day listening to nature sounds, especially when we are feeling stressed, can make a big difference in our lives

That’s why I’ve put together some of my favorite recordings of nature sounds for you right here. 

Each sound also has a  photograph for you to meditate on while you’re listening, if you’d like.  Or, you can just close your eyes and let the sounds wash over you, whatever works best.

Take a few minutes to escape any stress that you might be feeling.

Sit back, breathe deep and listen to the peaceful sounds of nature, you’ll be glad you did!
