About

Jennifer Hill

Hey there,

My name is Jennifer Hill and I’m the person behind The Stress Relief Handbook.  I’m 35 and currently live in New York City with my husband and several million other people, most of whom also need some serious stress relief!

I realized a while ago that I had amassed a lot of information about relaxation techniques and stress relief over the years (stressful years obviously!), and that it might be a nice idea to put it all together into a single resource for anyone to check out and use.

A couple of years have flown by since then and I figured I’d better stop procrastinating and just get on with it, so here I am.  You might be wondering what kind of qualifications I have and I’ll be honest I don’t have any formal training as a therapist, although many people have told me that I’d make a good one.

I do have one thing that is at least as valuable, if not more.  I have experience, and lots of it.

Without getting into the nitty gritty, let’s just say I have survived and thrived despite having huge amounts of stress heaped on me from a very young age and into adulthood.  I’ve been through years of therapy, read literally hundreds of books and articles, and tried lots of different stress relief programs.  At this point, believe me, I know what works and what is just a load of old nonsense (and I won’t be wasting your time with any of that stuff!).

I’ll be adding new information and resources regularly in the form of posts, articles and anything else I can think of. And, I will be doing ongoing research into new techniques and products out there that claim to help in the fight against stress.

I’ll also be putting together a newsletter based on the blog and I encourage anyone who is interested to sign up for that and get the free ecourse that goes with it.  It’s called Quick Ways to Beat Stress and it will jump start your stress relief program and lay the groundwork for many other stress relief techniques that we’ll be talking about.  Oh, and did I mention it’s free?

You can also sign up for an RSS feed of the blog as well as, or instead of the newsletter.

I want this site to be a comprehensive resource so take what interests you, leave what doesn’t and leave me comments or drop me an email (please use the contact form at the bottom of this page) with any suggestions for improvements.

No suggestion is too small and all are welcome!

I’m sure everyone out there has had stress in their lives and so I’ll cover any topics relating to stress and/or relaxation techniques, particularly if it looks like there’s a need for the info.

Stay tuned.

Jennifer
